# Alerts

> Important messages get alerts

## Introduction

When Bot Buster has something important to share, an alert is created. Alerts are created live and can be viewed, investigated and acknowledged all from the Alerts Dashboard.

### Alert Icon

The number of unacknowledged alerts can be seen at all times by looking at the bell icon on the top right of the page.

### Alert Dashboard

The alerts dashboard can be accessed by clicking on the alert icon. On the dashboard, it's possible to view your alerts. Each alert gets a time, message, severity, initiator, acknowledged status and shows the website the alert is associated with.

### Alert Filtering

Alerts can be filtered by their acknowledged status.

### Acknowledging Alerts

It may be helpful to acknowledge alerts so that only those which have not been seen get your attention. To acknowledge an alert, check the alerts to acknowledge and click the acknowledged button.

> If an alert row is clicked on, it will send you to the area in the portal that the message pertains to.
